This project was about creating new rituals. With my recent research in tea in the western world I felt prepared to make some conceptual pieces about tea drinking. I asked myself 2 questions for this project, How can I interact with peoples rituals and traditions? and How can I design an object that people will use in a way that defines their ritual? I decided that by creating tea sets that are made to be used by a specific number of people. The teapot used controls the kind of ritual that occurs. I designed a tea set for one, two, three, and four users. Here are some of the finished renderings, done in keyshot.
